Hey everyone!
I'm already writing again! Aren't you proud?! Well, a lot has been going on. First off, my girls Hollie and Carly are leaving in a day or two for the selection camp down at Karloyi's. I want to wish them the best of luck and I know they will do great! Last weekend the Global Basketball Games were being held in Dallas. Donnie Nelson, the assistant coach of the Mavericks, called up WOGA and asked if some of the gymnasts could perform at the half-time of the gold medal game! It was kind of short notice so we had to get organized fast. We already had a dance to "America" by Neil Diamond that we had used at the TJ MAXX Tour of Champions, but I didn't participate in it. This time I was participating and I had to learn this 4 and a half minute dance...and FAST! The girls had forgotten a few parts, but luckily we had a tape to look at to refresh their memories. They had to teach me and about 6 other girls the dance, and we had to practice to get synchronized. We worked it out finally and we were ready to perform. It was held at SMU College down in Dallas. While we were waiting to go on Devin Harris, the newest Maverick, walks up to us. We are all freaking out and asking to shake his hands and stuff. He was extremely friendly, but then we had to go perform and he said he was going up to watch us. The performance went well, and we were excited we didn't forget everything in the middle Ü. After the dance me and Cera got to meet Marquis Daniels of the Mavericks. We even got a picture with him. We also bought Marquis Daniels jersey T-shirts! It was so exciting. Last week while training hindorffs, I fell on the bar on my ribs, but I didn't think anything of it. I was still sore and hurting about a week later so I decided to get things checked out just incase. It turns out I broke one of my ribs, but I can still train and do everything as normal. I just have to be careful. The doctor said "It looks like someone hit you with a baseball bat." And I was just kinda like well falling from about 2 or 3 feet up onto a wooden bar is kinda like getting hit with a baseball bat. So, everything is OK, I can't really do any further damage. I will just have to live with the pain for about 6 weeks. On Saturday night, me and a bunch of people got to go to the Jessica Simpson concert! We had lawn seats, but you could still see really well. She is such an awesome singer. It was even her birthday the day of the Concert (July 10), so the crowd got to sing Happy Birthday to her! Ryan Cabrera, Nick Lachey, and Ashlee Simpson were all also there and went up on stage. It was so fun. Well, that's about all for now...WOW that was another long one! I'm just full of information : p. I'll write again soon!
