Welcome to the official website of Allison Taylor! Allison is a 21-year-old collegiate gymnast. She began gymnastics at the age of three and quickly move through the levels year after year. She trained at the Dallas Gymnastics Center (DGC) until she was a level 9. After her level 9 season, in 2001, she switched to the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) and spent all of her level 10 and elite career training there. Now, Allison is a sophomore at UCLA training under Miss Val.
Allison qualified to the 2002 Junior Olympic Nationals where she placed 9th in the all-around and 6th on floor exercise. In 2003, as a junior, Allison qualified to US Championships and finished 19th in the all-around and 10th on floor exercise. An injury in 2004 kept her out of competition until the Voronin Cup, in Moscow, Russia, in December where she qualified for the finals on uneven bars and finished 8th.
In 2006 stress fractures in a vertebra kept Allison out of competition, but not out of the college coaches’ sights. After being recruited by over 13 colleges, and getting offers from six, including Oklahoma, Minnesota, Arizona State and North Carolina, Allison accepted the offer from UCLA. An ill-timed foot fracture limited her competition in 2007 to bars only, but she finished 3rd at the WOGA Classic and 2nd at the Excalibur Cup competing as a Level 10.
During Allison's 1st year at UCLA, she helped UCLA to win 5 competitions by contributing her uneven bars scores. Her team qualified to NCAA Championships and finished 4th.
